But she has been asked to get leaner and toned than ever before! The reason? Yash Raj Films has asked her to shed any extra inches gained before she begins shooting for her next film Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. The actress has had a long break after the shoot of her last project Band Baaja Baraat. The production house is very strict when it comes to the fitness of their heroines. While signing a film, their contract insists they be of a certain weight and have a specific Body Mass Index. A source reveals, "A foodie she binged on her favourite delicacies and let herself go. YRF has instructed her to go slow. The actress began working out with her trainer and got a toned look. Since she has a high metabolism rate, losing weight quickly isn't a problem." Those who have worked with the banner insist that they are pretty weight-specific when it comes to the women. "Every one from Kareena to Deepika have followed the YRF diktat of getting the right digits on the weighing scale. It's a rule they don't let anyone break." Baby Steps
Anushka celebrates her birthday on 1 May 1988. She was born in Bangalore. Her father is an Army Officer while her mother is a homemaker. She also has an older brother.

She did her schooling at the Army School and later graduated from Mount Carmel College with a degree in Arts. She is currently working on obtaining a degree in Economics.

Runaway Success
Anushka, with a taste for the alluring world of fashion and film, signed up with the Elite Modeling Agency. She was also groomed by fashion consultant Prasad Bidappa even before she hit her sweet sixteens.

She was ‘discovered’ by the Goa-based designer Wendell Rodricks. She sashayed down the ramp at his Les Vamps Show, and the Lakme India Fashion Week. She was also seen in ads for Silk & Shine, Whisper, and Fiat Palio. She stands tall at 5’9”.

Taani
It wasn’t long before Bollywood started chasing her. She made her debut in 2008 with none other than the King Khan himself in Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi as Taani.

She is currently working on another Yash Raj project with Shahid Kapoor. It is tentatively titled, Right Hand Man. Nikhil Advani has signed her up for Patiala House with Akshay Kumar.

“Badmaash Company” is an extraordinary story set in the 90’s in middle class Mumbai of four young friends (Karan, Bulbul, Zing and Chandu) who get together to start a company. Their business is an instant hit because they find a way to beat the system.

In this Film, Anushka Sharma turns chic to flaunt her hour-glass figure in the most glam glad-rags in the Yashraj Films’ Badmaash Company and the ‘not-so-secretly kept’ fact about Shahid Kapoor'’s upcoming venture titled ‘Badmaash Company’ is for the first time Shahid would be donning many makeovers and get-ups so much so that he becomes almost unrecognizable in some sequences in the film.

Of course, Shahid's make-over attempts as the con-man have been modified and ‘stylised’ to suit the Indian audience’s tastes. He gets into as many as seven different disguises: a South Indian patriarch, a Bihari babu, a baldie with a hair-loss complex, an African with an Afro-curly hairdo, a Sikh, an innocent college student with oil-sickened hair and most interestingly, a Hyderabadi mawaali inspired by Mehmood's look in several films.

In Badmaash Company however, both Shahid and Anushka would be seen in a young, fresh and altogether new look. Anushka, who in her first film, was mostly seen sporting Indian wear has gone glamorous for this role wearing cool and funky tops and hot pants.

For both Shahid and Anushka, this is the second film with the coveted Yash Raj banner. Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma will be seen playing some adventurous water sports in the flick. And as a source tells a tabloid, both were given that kind of uber cool look for it. Shahid will sport chic vests, Anushka Sharma will be seen in sexy bikini tops and ultra short denims. And for the rest of the movie too, she has a very glamorous look.

The movie also has actor-comedian Vir Das, Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, and Indian Idol participant Meiyang Chang as ‘badmaash’. Making his directorial debut, Parmeet Sethi wields the megaphone for this stylish flick.

Yash Raj Films' Badmaash Company has a release date of May 7, 2010. The film’s leading stars, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and choreographer Ahmed Khan were shooting a music video for the Yashraj film.
